The only way to get Nissan to own up and fix these issues is by complaining, unfortunately. The part number is in one of the posts on the first or second page along with the service bulletin for it. I would go with eneos all day every day for this oil! Must stop the car, wait 5 minutes before you can drive again in order to reset the sensor. It has never gave me any issues until this past Saturday it started making this whining noise when I pressed on the gas pedal up hill and coasted down hill and this was during the day in the heat. And before someone asks, sorry but I know of no way to check this number with out the factory tool. Hit the jump to read the letter Nissan sent to customers.
Called a tow truck and they sent a roll back. It came with a 60k factory powertrain and we choose to extend to the 100k warranty as well. First i was frustrated but glad i did. Exactly how it's supposed to be better, I do not know. It's a very widespread problem. I pulled off at the next exit, in the middle of nowhere Which is anywhere in Kansas and turned it off. Not going to buy nissan or infinity ever again.
Redline suggest that you flush it at 30,000 miles. What color is the bad fluid? I will never buy another Nissan again! If it is a trans, what's the usual cost to replace? Must stop the car, wait 5 minutes before you can drive again in order to reset the sensor. I live in Vegas so its pretty hot here. I hear a whirling sound and the car is losing power. It will drag or feel like it is slipping when I accelerate. Does anybody know how to find out the transmission type? I dealt with the transmission slips and low gear changes until I decided to finally get a Transmission Fluid flush at Nissan.
Packaging and option changes, as well as the addition of an optional and very affordable navigation system mark the other major changes. For instance, any traditional auto fluid will not work. After about 30 minutes I was informed it was the transmission. Sentra extras are largely model specific, with anti-lock brakes, stability control, a decklid spoiler and some trim bits heading the 2. When interior space and serenity really matter, the Sentra delivers in a big way.
If anyone knows where I can find that then please tell me so i could print it and maybe even tho I doubt it get something done about it. Our Rogue has 96k miles right now. The dealer changed the entire transmission. We have had to pull over and wait for about 20 minutes before it would be ok to drive again. It's a supplemental transmission fluid cooler and the tech at the dealer I went to dais an oil cooler as well. The car will not go past 3 rpms.
I noticed something early on, but was not driving it long distances prior to July. I brought ig to the local Nissan dealer and they told me that my tanny failed internally. No apparent damage, no fluid leaks, nothing. Unable to speed up after as no torque is available. Manual says it takes about 10 min.
After an hour on the highway, My Rogue won't accelerate anymore. . Every time I accelerate my transmission was slipping. Can you tell me what's wrong? We are committed to doing the right thing for our customers and look forward to a long relationship that you find satisfying and rewarding. They will investigate safety issues and can hopefully get Nissan to take ownership of this problem.
Engine was running fine with no check engine light. A+ to Boulder Nissan - great service! The next exit happened to be in Hayes and I decided I would get lunch and look on this forum for some answers. Took it to dealer we bought it from who then took it to Nissan. That was around 60k miles so 114k miles no vibrations since. It happens after about two hours of highway driving 65-70 mph speeds. After lunch I passed through a cold front and the temp dropped from 94° to 35°. When should I consider taking it in for the cvt fluid to be looked at? What color is the bad fluid? In a way we are relieved that Nissan is replacing the transmission, but I still feel that Nissan should issue a recall because this is a very dangerous issue.
