I have purchased a 2010 535i-xdrive, where the previous owner already added a quad exhaust flow. Who needs this when you have N54's? Usually people increase the stoke on an eninge that has a bigger bore than stroke. Apparently the Scat stuff doesn't handle the shock loads of nitrous well. You should do more research on 2jz before making such bold claims imo. There still has not been a higher compression production naturally aspirated V8 produced than the S65 without direct injection and it goes to 12. Its weak point could be its tuning capabilities, as it has cast internals and only one turbo.

Hi Jake, Great site and information! When we first messed with a ported head we didn't see anything but when we used a ported head with a little larger valves. I mean look at a 2jz you can sit at 800whp with a stock bottom end no issues. Twin turbo configuration has been replaced by Twin scroll which means that new Borg Warner B03 turbocharger has two exhaust gas inlets and two impellers. The N54 has two small low-pressure turbochargers to minimise. At higher percentages of ethanol fuel, your stock pump will hit capacity and not be able to pump fuel fast enough.
Making more power on stock internals does not mean the engine is stronger or has more capability. I would certainly recommend getting the 1 step colder spark plugs. It will be roughly the same hp limits as the 4. Agreed, but we like looking at both. But if you upgraded your inlets previously on stock turbos, then they will work perfectly on these turbos. That does not coincide with needing to take a ton of boost to hit big horsepower figures.

Purchasing of N55 will certainly turn out to be a good idea. I think it's called doing my job. Few items I wish your feedback on. Also purchase n54 downpipes, performance exhaust system and oil coolers. Pictures and videos taken while you are driving are strongly discouraged. They officially released their N54 tuning products earlier in the week.

I know another vendor has a cast offering coming soon - it will be interesting to see how much the low and midrange tradeoff is compared to the top end gain.
